Off-spinner Farhan Ahmed made quite the initial splash in Nottinghamshire colours.
He became the youngest player to make his County Championship debut for the club – doing so aged 16 years and 189 days, against Surrey at his home ground. He took seven wickets in the first innings and three in the second to become the youngest to take 10 match wickets in County Championship history.
He ended the 2024 season with 22 wickets at 23.22, having gained selection for England Lions earlier that season.
He has several England U19 appearances to his name, including at the ICC U19 World Cup in South Africa as a 15-year-old.
