Footitt has been named in a squad of 12 to play in three Tests atShenley, Scarborough and Headingley and is keen to make up for losttime.
He said: "I was picked to tour India in the winter but my ankle injuryruled me out. That was frustrating because I knew I could learn a lotfrom playing in such different conditions.
"I took a lot from my Championship debut against Glamorgan, when I tookfive wickets in the match, and I?m sure playing against Sri Lanka willbe another good challenge for me. I feel in good form and I?m ready totake them on."
