Chris Read claims he ‘can’t wait to get started’ in pre-season after turning the offer of an extra two weeks off before returning to Trent Bridge.
Despite thedisappointment of missing out on selection for England’s World Cupcampaign, the 28-year-old is keen to get straight back into action.
Hesaid: “I met with Mick Newell last week for a catching up session andhe gave me the option of a couple of extra weeks off before joining thesquad for pre-season.
“But the feeling of getting back andplaying is something I’m really looking forward to. There’s nothingmore frustrating than to be netting endlessly without any matches toshow for it at the end - and I’ve done enough of that already thiswinter.
“I can’t wait to meet up with the boys. We have gotplenty of hard work ahead of us to make up for the disappointment ofrelegation last season - and we’re all eager to get started.”
