Twenty20 king David Hussey is celebrating again after picking up his third consecutive winners’ medal in the competition for Victoria.
The 30-year-old struck 38 in the KFC Twenty20 Final against Western Australia before taking two wickets with his off-spin as the Bushrangers continued their domination of the tournament with a 32-run victory.
Hussey finished as the second highest run-scorer in the competition, hitting three half-centuries as Victoria marched to the title.
Victoria have only lost one match in the three-year history of the competition - against Western Australia in the group stages this season - and will now be heading to the Champions Twenty20 league as favourites when the inaugural tournament begins in October.
