Nottingham based building contractors Clegg Construction have struck a deal to become shirt sponsors for Notts Outlaws' Twenty20 Cup campaign.
The new shirt will be worn for the first time when the Outlaws begin their Twenty20 programme against Yorkshire at Headingley on Friday 13th June ahead of Durham’s visit Trent Bridge on Saturday 14th June.
"We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Notts since winning the contract to build the Fox Road stand five years ago and we are pleased to have taken the opportunity to sponsor the club's Twenty20 campaign," said Simon Blackburn, Managing Director of Clegg Construction.
"This is the first time that we have struck a deal with a professional sports club and as a Nottingham-based company, it is fitting that we should work with the Outlaws."
Clegg were the main contractors behind the extensive development programme at Trent Bridge during the close season.
A new stand along the Bridgford Road boundary, the addition of a lower-tier to the Fox Road stand, additional seating in front of the Pavillion, Hound Road and Larwood and Voce stands takes seating capacity to almost 17,000 in time for the third npower Test against New Zealand in two weeks time.
"The development project at Trent Bridge was a very high-profile scheme and served to raise our profile in the city and the region," said Simon.
"Because of the time constraints, careful planning was crucial to the success of the project and it is pleasing for ourselves and the club that the delivery deadline was met."
Notts Deputy Chief Executive Lisa Pursehouse said: "We are absolutely delighted to have Clegg Construction as our new official sponsor for the Twenty20 Cup campaign.
“We have enjoyed a great working relationship with Clegg Construction during the building projects that have taken place at Trent Bridge.
"We are always especially keen to align ourselves with Nottinghamshire based companies and I am sure this deal will prove to be mutually beneficial."
