Nottinghamshire academy duo Jake Ball and Sam Kelsall have earned call-ups to Englande age group squads.

Ball will represent England Under 19s in  two-match Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka at The Emirates ICG and Kelsall is amongst 13 players to be considered for England Under 17s’ for a one day game against the same opposition at Sleaford CC in Lincolnshire.

"This T20 series provides a great opportunity to showcase the young talent in this country against a very good Sri Lanka Under 19 team,” said England Under 19s Coach Adrian Birrell.

“Good performances in these matches and the one day series that follows will provide a crucial platform for those players looking to further progress up the ladder in the national set up."
