Steven Mullaney is expected to feature against Warwickshire Bears in Thursday’s Clydesdale Bank 40 contest at Trent Bridge (play starts 4.10pm) after recovering from an ankle injury.
Scott Elstone is on standby should Mullaney be forced into a late withdrawal whilst Ryan Sidebottom will replace Luke Fletcher.
“It will be beneficial for Steven to play ahead of Finals Day and we’re pleased that he has recovered in time to take part against Warwickshire,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“This game is important in its own right and it has our full attention because a win will bring us to within touching distance of Warwickshire at the top of the table.
“If we lose the game then we’re up against it because only one runner-up qualifies and we’d much prefer to be in control of the group.”
Notts are yet to face Warwickshire at Edgbaston in the competition with the two fixture pivotal to the outcome of the group.
