Nottinghamshire will begin the defence of their LV= County Championship crown with a home fixture against Hampshire on Thursday 14th April.

Nottinghamshire will also face Sri Lanka A at Trent Bridge in a 50-over tour match on Wednesday 10th August.

The regular season concludes with an LV= County Championship game against Sussex at Trent Bridge beginning Monday 12th September with the Clydesdale Bank 40 final bringing the season to a close at Lord’s on Saturday 17th September.

“Playing three of our opening four fixtures at Trent Bridge and one at Headingley is pleasing because both grounds will be conducive to producing definitive results at that stage of the season,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

“The games against the MCC, Oxford, and Sri Lanka A come at a good time for us and we’re looking forward to returning to competitive cricket.”

Newell hopes to schedule a friendly fixture at Trent Bridge between the game against the MCC in Abu Dhabi which concludes on Wednesday 30th March and a 3 day match against Oxford MCCU at The Parks which begins on Saturday 9th April.
