Nottinghamshire’s curtain-raising Champion County fixture against The MCC will take place in Abu Dhabi in March.
The Zayed International Cricket Stadium will host the game from March 27 to 30.
“MCC is pleased to be returning to Abu Dhabi for the Champion County match,” said MCC Head of Cricket John Stephenson.
“It is an excellent ground for competitive first-class cricket and, played in good weather, will be ideal preparation for the players ahead of an English season.
“The fixture also provides a perfect platform for us to use as valuable research and development for the world game.”
Use of floodlights, a pink ball and pastel coloured clothing are amongst the innovations being considered for the fixture.
