Nottinghamshire duo Neil Edwards and Graeme White led a festive mission to bring cheer to the children’s ward at the Queen’s Medical Centre by distributing gifts to patients.
Director of Cricket Mick Newell and academy players Sam Wood, Sam Kelsall, Ollie Swann, Dan Cumming and Michael Robson were also joined by club mascot Nuts the Squirrel.
The gifts were purchased by Official Team Sponsors PKF who backed a similar scheme last year.
“It was great to see a smile on the kids’ faces and hopefully we’ve made a difficult time a bit better for them,” said White.
“There was a lot of positivity amongst the children, their parents and the staff and we were very grateful for the welcome we were given.”
The players also visited day clinics in the children’s hospital and gave selection boxes to visitors and staff.
