Graeme Swann, Stuart Broad and Ryan Sidebottom will be included in the Nottinghamshire team to face Warwickshire at Edgbaston in the LV= County Championship from Tuesday.
The centrally contracted trio will provide a timely boost as Notts seek to close the gap on championship leaders Yorkshire.
Notts have drawn two and lost two of their previous four LV= County Championship fixtures but remain well-placed to challenge Yorkshire having began the season with four straight wins.
“Our England players haven’t played red ball cricket for a while now so the timing of this game was perfect for them to get match practice,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“We’ve got games in hand but Yorkshire have got points on the board and it’s important that we claw them back and stay in touch at the top.”
Alex Hales and Samit Patel will open the batting in a top order reinforced by Mark Wagh and David Hussey.
Andre Adams completes the seam attack with Steven Mullaney, Ali Brown and Chris Read representing a strong middle order
Paul Franks will travel as twelfth man.
