Ryan Sidebottom will play for Notts Outlaws in this evening's Friends Provident t20 fixture against Durham Dynamos at Trent Bridge (play starts 6pm).
Sidebottom will open the bowling alongside Dirk Nannes as Notts look to extend their unbeaten home record in the competition.
Chris Read is battling to be fit for the fixture with Billal Shafayat on standby to deputise.
Three Notts players have already surpassed 200 runs for the tournament with Alex Hales leading the way on 290. David Hussey has reached 282 with Samit Patel on 249.
Hales and Ali Brown will open the batting for Notts and Mick Newell must decide whether he leaves out Graeme White, Paul Franks or Darren Pattinson to accommodate Sidebottom's return.
