Paul Franks and Mark Wagh will open the batting for Nottinghamshire against Oxford MCCU from Saturday and seem set to keep their places for the season opener against Hampshire.
Franks enjoyed an excellent season with the bat in 2010 and Mark Wagh has been promoted from number three where Alex Hales will begin the campaign.
"From a batting perspective, this is the team that will begin the season for us and it's important that they get match practice in the role that they will fulfil," said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

"Andre Adams will play against Hampshire but I don't envisage any changes beyond that.
"We're looking forward to three days of solid practice on a good pitch and we need to show that we're on our game."
Adams will arrive in England on Monday.
