Stuart Broad was delighted to secure the first ever Test Match hat-trick against India but admitted afterwards that it wouldn't mean much if England don't go on to win the second npower Test at Trent Bridge.
Broad finished with 6-46 and has made a telling impact so far after his batting heroics on day one.
"I think it's my third hat-trick but we're going back to Oakham School Under-15s for my last one," said Broad.
"When you've got all your family and friends at the ground, it's always special. The atmosphere wasn't quite as good at school, with the parents watching.
"It was important to get those wickets quickly, and to get a hat-trick within that is very special but it won't mean much if we don't go on and win this Test match."
"We've got ourselves in a decent position, but it's up to us to build on it and grab the momentum."
