Riki Wessels top-scored with 76 as Notts Outlaws extended their unbeaten home record in the Friends Life t20 with a comprehensive victory over Lancashire Lightning.
Wessels was content to play a supporting role to Alex Hales in an opening stand of 85 but after Hales (60) was bowled by Parry, he prospered alongside Australian duo Adam Voges and David Hussey.
Notts were 184-4 after 20 overs and always appeared to be in control. Despite making a strong start to their run chase, Lancashire faded badly and could only muster 131 all out.
“I tried to stand at the other end and watch Alex Hales do his business but when I got my chance I tried to score as quickly as I could,” said Wessels, who had been dropped by Stephen Moore on 21.
“It’s outstanding playing at home and it feels like a fortress with big crowds here. We’ve been putting runs on the board and then the bowlers have come in and done their jobs especially well.”
Ben Phillips suffered a dislocated finger in the warm-up and was replaced in the Notts line-up by Andre Adams who took 2-19 from his four overs.
Steven Croft's 55 was the only knock off any substance in Lancashire's reply but his departure effectively ended the visitors' hopes.
