Andre Adams will return to the Nottinghamshire team to face Worcestershire having missed the draw with Somerset with flu.
Adams is included in a 13-man squad with Andy Carter also added to the 11 players who featured at Trent Bridge last week.
“You miss your best players when they’re out of the side and Andre is undoubtedly one of our best players so we’re pleased to have him back,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“We’ve already beaten Worcestershire this season but we know they will be competitive and they’re stated aim is to avoid relegation which they’re more than capable of doing.”
Newell has resisted any temptation to change the top order with Riki Wessels still absent with a broken finger and Karl Turner playing for the Second Eleven.
“All of the batsmen that have feature since the start of the season have contributed at some stage but we’re aware that things need to improve in all aspects of our performances,” said Newell.
“There is some wet weather around but we have seen that games are finishing well within four days so we will push for a positive result.”
