Nottinghamshire Coach Paul Johnson hopes that the depth of batting talent at his disposal will help the Academy to compete in the top-half of the Notts Premier League this season.
The team will be devoid of Sam Wood, Brett Hutton and Sam Kelsall who will have a reduced workload ahead of the ICC Under 19s World Cup but emerging talents including Tom Rowe and Simon Webster will be accomanied by professional duo Scott Elstone and Jake Ball.
"Ordinarily we would have let Scott and Jake pro elsewhere but we decided to hold on to them with three players being managed by England ahead of the World Cup," said Johnson.
"We've got seven players in the squad to face Wollaton who could legitamately open the batting and two behind them who are very destructive.
"Similarly, we've got four opening bowlers in the team so there's no lack of options.
"We want to finish in the top half and challenge the teams who will be right up there at the end of the season."
Play starts at 12.30pm at Lady Bay and admission is free for all supporters.
