Nottinghamshire’s latest LV= County Championship match ended in a draw after heavy overnight rain and persistent morning showers ruled out the prospects of any play on the final day of the fixture against Middlesex at Uxbridge.
The hosts were on 239-2, an overall lead of just eight but Notts would have had the option to take a second new ball after just ten more overs had been bowled and still harboured hopes of pressing for a victory.
Notts take a total of nine points from the contest and remain undefeated after nine championship matches for the first time since 1937.
