Second Eleven openers Karl Turner and Neil Edwards shared a 112-run opening partnership in a first innings total of 351-9 declared on the first of three days of friendly action against Glamorgan at Newport.
Nottinghamshire lost wickets throughout the second session but an unbeaten last wicket stand of 114 between Brett Hutton (51*) and Adeel Shafique (59*) saw Notts make their declaration with 45 minutes left in the day. Glamorgan finished the day on 58 without loss.
