Nottinghamshire’s final fixture of their Barbados tour takes place over the weekend at Windward, when they face Warwickshire in a 2-day contest.
After four white-ball matches, all played in coloured clothing, the more traditional form of the game will be seen on the same east coast ground where Notts faced Warwickshire at the start of their tour and also played against Yorkshire on Thursday.
In whites and played with a red ball, Notts will face a Warwickshire side that lost to Yorkshire in the final of The Banks Barbados T20 Cup at Kensington Oval. Derbyshire defeated Hampshire to win the Plate competition, thanks to an explosive performance from former Notts bowler Mark Footitt, who took three wickets in the final over of the match to give his side victory by just one run.
Alex Hales, troubled with a slight knee injury during the stay in Barbados, is now fit to start and takes his place in a Notts batting line-up that will also includes Michael Lumb against Warwickshire but is still without James Taylor, resting a tweak to his hamstring.
Skipper Chris Read returns after his calf problem and academy bowler George Bacon also gets his first opportunity of the trip, being included in the following starting eleven (which may change for the second day of the match):
Team For Day 1 v Warwickshire: Read (capt), Turner, Edwards, Hales, Lumb, Mullaney, Franks, Phillips, Fletcher, Ball, Bacon
