Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell must decide whether to promote Steven Mullaney or Karl Turner to the team to face Middlesex in the LV= County Championship.
Riki Wessels will fill one of the berths vacated by James Taylor and Samit Patel who will face West Indies with England Lions.
Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad will both feature for Nottinghamshire in what is likely to be their only LV= County Championship appearance on home soil this season with Andrew Strauss and Steve Finn set to line-up for the visitors.
“Having the England players around raises the interest in the game and it’s important that the likes of Alex Hales have the chance to test themselves against players like Steve Finn,” said Newell.
“We need to find ways to play without players who are likely to have regular England commitments and those that come into the team need to show that they merit their place.”
Andre Adams, who will be presented with the FTI Most Valuable Player of the Month Award during the lunch break having already taken 28 LV= County Championship wickets this season, returns to the side having sat out the Clydesdale Bank 40 defeat in Scotland.
Nottinghamshire sit second in Division One of the LV= County Championship having won three and drawn two of their matches so far.
