Notts Outlaws spinner Graeme White hailed his side’s all-round ability after his game-changing spell of bowling put the brakes on Yorkshire's batting effort.
After back to back Friends Life t20 losses against Leicestershire and Durham, Notts needed to win to return to the top of the North Group and the economy of White and Samit Patel made a telling difference.
"We wanted to make sure we came here and gave a better performance than the last two games," said White.
"You need momentum in this competition and we're looking forward to three very important home games now." Graeme White
"There were a couple of areas where we wanted to improve and I thought we were brilliant. We got a good score on the board having targeted 150 before the innings and we gave it everything in the field.
"You need momentum in this competition and we're looking forward to three very important home games now."
Having set the hosts 156 to win, White took the crucial wickets of Dan Hodgson and Andrew Hodd as the Vikings threatened to get closer to their victory target.
"The way the games have gone, it has been quite tight and difficult to get my four overs in but that’s just part of the game," said White.
"I come on and bowl when I’m told. When its dry it’ll spin and the batsmen find it a little bit harder to score. I think it’s a good time now for the spinners to come into this competition, especially with the way in which the wickets are getting drier."
Having seen Yorkshire beat the Outlaws by six wickets at Trent Bridge this time last year, White was pleased to get one over the Vikings.
"It’s always nice to come here and win, like it is at any ground," he said.
"We knew it was going to be a tough game as it always is because they’ve got some very talented players, and this win can only give us confidence."
