Notts Outlaws all-rounder Graeme White will begin this season’s Friends Life t20 campaign on loan at Northants Steelbacks.

White is set to feature in their opening three matches having already played LV= County Championship cricket on loan at Wantage Road but will still be eligible to play for Notts Outlaws in their remaining group matches.

A valuable member of the Outlaws’ attack in recent seasons, White has high hopes of success in this year’s competition although he will be ineligible to feature for Notts in any knockout matches.

“Our chances of progressing are really strong as we have to look at ourselves as a top of the table team. We have managed to perform well in the previous years and the first aim has to be to secure a home quarter-final.”

Notts are poised to confirm the signing of an international fast bowler ahead of Friday’s opening match against Leicestershire Foxes at Trent Bridge (play starts 6pm).
