Notts Outlaws will look to make it two consecutive wins in their Yorkshire Bank 40 campaign when they host Kent Spitfires tomorrow.
Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell will name an unchanged team with Graeme Swann, James Taylor and Samit Patel all set to feature.
"We can't go into this match expecting a win," said Newell.
"That's something I'll be re-iterating at the training sessions today and tomorrow. That said, I don't think we have any real reason to worry.
"We have an excellent squad for the limited overs competition, and t20 especially. In terms of batting, we're excellent and have a fluid team, and it was nice to see the bowlers take the wickets we needed.
"I'm not expecting to make many changes to the side on Wednesday."
So far this season, Notts have only tasted defeat at Trent Bridge, with wins coming at Derbyshire and Northants, and while he said that where victories come from is unimportant, Newell wants his side to continue their good start in the YB40 competition.
"We have a difficult group in this competition, we have the best non-county side in The Netherlands, but if we can continue our good start, then I fully expect us, and want us, to be challenging in August," he said.
After winning their first game over the Bank Holiday Weekend against Northamptonshire it drew stark contrast with the beginning of last year’s campaign.
An 18-run defeat to Scotland on Duckworth-Lewis Method in the opening round in 2012 was the worst possible start for the Outlaws.
From there, the next six games brought about five wins and one loss putting the campaign firmly back on track.
Plenty of good performances were involved but despite this amazing run, it was not enough to make the knockout stages.
Notts eventually ended the group stages in fourth, a very creditable finish in a group that was topped by eventual champions Hampshire.
The Outlaws have their sites set on a Lord’s final this year with batsmen and bowlers showing their worth at Wantage Road at the weekend.
Play starts at 4.10pm on Wednesday as limited overs cricket returns to Trent Bridge for the first time in 2013. Kent Spitfires had an impressive win in the last round, conquering 2012 finalists Warwickshire by a single run.
Both games saw the respective sides score over 200 and a boundary fest could be in order tomorrow.
With warm weather on the charts over the bank holiday weekend, flat pitches have allowed batsman to prosper in the YB40 this season and the pitch tomorrow should follow suit.
With a late afternoon start and a conclusion expected around 10pm, there is plenty of time to catch a bit of cricket after work or sneak out early to see Graeme Swann make his final scheduled appearance at Trent Bridge until the start of the Investec Ashes Series in July.
