The Nottinghamshire Second XI match against Durham ended a draw after a weather-affected third day.
Resuming on 69-1, Durham looked to build on their positive start and work to achieve a good total, but the loss of early wickets to Sam Wood and Graeme White gave Nottinghamshire's bowlers hope of avoiding defeat. The pick of the morning's wickets was that of Ireland, who was caught brilliantly by sub-fielder Simon Webster off the bowling of Brett Hutton.
The highlight of the visiting innings (from their perspective at least) was the scoring of captain Keaton Jennings, who declared with an unbeaten 94 to leave Notts with 68 overs to chase their target of 308.
The afternoon was one of rain and wickets, the home side losing Wood (1) and Kelsall (16), before an early tea was taken with the score at 54-3.
After the restart, Tillcock and Franks offered resistance to the Durham attack, with the latter eventually bowled for 42. Only one more run was added before more rain and the captains decided to leave the match with honours even.
