Nottinghamshire’s second eleven fell to a four wicket defeat in their first Second Eleven Trophy match of the season against Yorkshire at Notts Sports Club.
After winning the toss Yorkshire asked Nottinghamshire to bat and made an early breakthrough when Moin Ashraf had Scottish international Matt Cross caught behind for 13 in the second over.
Sam Kelsall (58) and Hassan Azad (57) then added 107 from 103 deliveries before Azeem Rafiq dismissed them both.
Sam Wood made 45 from 37 balls before being trapped lbw to Moin Ashraf.
Tillcock (1), Dal (24), Hutton (7) and Franks (3) all fell before both Simon Webster and Luke Wood finished the innings unbeaten on 12 as Nottinghamshire made 247-8 from their 50 overs.
Elliott Kallis (78) and Jonathan Tattersall (72) both made solid starts for Yorkshire before Adam Tillcock had them both lbw.
Tillock then bowled Leaning for 2 before Yorkshire brought up 200 in the 40th over.
Sam Wood bowled Rhodes for 28 before Rafiq fell without scoring but Pyrah and Shaw were able to get Yorkshire across the line.
