Nottinghamshire’s Luke Wood has been confirmed as a member of the England squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup.
Fast bowler Wood enjoyed an excellent season with Nottinghamshire’s academy and Second Eleven sides, and was rewarded with a place on tours with the England U19’s through the winter.
The team will be captained by Yorkshire’s Will Rhodes, as well as including Dominic Sibley, who became the youngest player to score a double century in the LV= County Championship last summer.
The tournament, to be staged in the UAE, begins on 14 February.
