Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club has been shortlisted for a prestigious international award in recognition of their partnership with sports marketing agency Two Circles.
The Club will compete with Chelsea Football Club, Florida State University, Barclaycard and Swansea Football Club in the Best Use of Technology by a Club category at the Sports Technology Awards to be held in London in March.
“The efforts of Two Circles in applying specialist knowledge to a brief that is sensitive to the traditional values of Trent Bridge have been exemplary."
The impact of the new systems enabled staff at Trent Bridge to increase attendances at domestic and international fixtures, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing activity and further enhance the Club’s profitability.
Nottinghamshire were one of just four counties to register an increase in average attendances in the NatWest T20 Blast last season while the first four days of the Investec Ashes Test, scheduled for August, sold out within hours of going on sale.
“We are particularly pleased to have been shortlisted for this award as the adoption of cutting-edge technology has been a key focus for Trent Bridge in recent years,” said Michael Temple, Head of Marketing and Communications at Trent Bridge.
“The efforts of Two Circles in applying specialist knowledge to a brief that is sensitive to the traditional values of Trent Bridge have been exemplary and we hope that the partnership will continue to flourish.”
Trent Bridge has enjoyed several off-field plaudits recently including a Royal Television Society Award in recognition of the promotional video that formed the creative centerpiece of their ‘Cricket has Landed’ campaign. The Club also triumphed in the Best Customer Experience category at the Business of Cricket Awards.
