The St. James’s Place Foundation, which has raised funds for children’s charities totaling over £50 million in the past quarter of a century, has made a £10,000 donation to the Trent Bridge Community Trust.
The Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the St. James’s Place Wealth Management Group, chooses its causes based on the significant difference they make to the lives of children and young people.
“I’m thrilled to be able to deliver a cheque on behalf of the St. James’s Place Foundation to the Trent Bridge Community Trust for £10,000,” said Associate Partner and former Leicestershire County Cricket Club batsman Matthew Boyce.
“The Foundation aims to make a significant difference to the lives of children and young people.
“They give grants to charities working for the direct benefit of economically disadvantaged or socially marginalised young people, the physically disabled, or those suffering from a mental condition or life-threatening or degenerative illness. “The grant is for the positive futures programme run by the Trent Bridge Community Trust which fits in with the core aims of the foundation.
“Supporting charities is very important to me personally, and as an ex-cricketer it is particularly satisfying to be able to contribute to a county cricket club’s charity.
“The Foundation has raised and distributed over £50 million to hundreds of charities over 24 years, and will continue to grow this in the future.
“As a partner of St. James’s Place Wealth Management I feel very proud to be representing the Foundation for this grant to the Trent Bridge Community Trust.”
Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club’s Finance Director, a Trustee of the charity, added: “On behalf of the Trent Bridge Community Trust, I’d like to thank the St. James’ Place Foundation for their generous contribution.
“Their support of our charitable arm builds on a longstanding relationship between our organisations.
“It also provides welcome acknowledgement of the sterling work of our Positive Futures programme, where we work to change the lives of young people within our community for the better."
