Former Lancashire captain John Abrahams will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Nottingham Cricket Lovers’ Society on Thursday 2 February.
Abrahams, who was born in South Africa, joined the Red Rose county in 1973 and played for 15 seasons, scoring over 10,000 first-class runs and captaining the side in 1984 and 1985.
He won the Man of the Match Award in the Benson and Hedges Cup Final in 1984 when leading Lancashire to victory.
He has been fully involved in the game since his retirement, including a spell as manager of the England Under 19s team.
The meeting will be held in the Long Room at Trent Bridge at 7.30 pm and all are welcome to attend.
