Nottinghamshire’s Second XI were defeated in both Second Eleven T20’s by a strong Yorkshire side at Worksop College.
A half century from Jack Leaning led Yorkshire to a first innings total of 190-4 in the first game of the day.
Spinner Liam Patterson-White claimed figures of 2-19 from his three overs whilst Matt Carter and Jack Blatherwick took the other two Yorkshire wickets to fall.
However, Notts fell 29 runs short in their chase, closing on 161-9.
Connor Marshall top scored with 40 but wickets fell consistently through the innings, with Joey Evison adding 34 and Patterson-White following up his impressive bowling display with 33.
But the medium pace of Jordan Thompson proved too much for Notts as he took four wickets.
In the second game, Notts batted first reaching 154-5 from their 20 overs thanks to a knock of 57 from Will Fraine.
However that target proved too little as the White Rose chased it down with two overs to spare, as opener Alex Lees carried his bat to an unbeaten 72 handing Yorkshire the win by 6 wickets.
All-rounder Connor Marshall picked up two wickets with Jack Blatherwick and Mark Footitt taking one each.
The seconds resume their Second XI T20 campaign on Monday (July 23) as they travel to Brant Green CC to take on Warwickshire.
