Nottinghamshire's Women will compete in the Royal London Women's One Day Cup and Vitality Women's County T20 this season.

Head Coach Martyn Kiel has assembled a squad blending youth and experience, and including England internationals Kirstie Gordon and Jenny Gunn, who returned to her home county on the eve of the season.

Below, the squad share their most memorable moments in green and gold, in their own words:

 

Sonia Odedra

Debut: 2009

Playing style: Right-handed all-rounder (medium-fast bowler)

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Playing alongside greats like Jane Smit and Jenny Gunn, winning the T20 competition in 2014, and winning back-to-back promotions in 2016 and 2017.

 

Amy Gauvrit

Debut: 2014

Playing style: Right-arm medium pacer

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Becoming T20 Champions in 2014.

 

Sarah Bryce

Debut: 2019

Playing style: Wicketkeeper-batter

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Getting a win on my Notts debut against Sussex.

 

Jenny Gunn

Debut: 2001

Playing style: Right-handed all-rounder (medium-fast bowler)

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Making my first senior century.

Gunn is in her second spell with Notts, having taken 100 wickets in her first 14-year spell with the club. 

The 32-year-old is England's second-highest wicket-taker in One Day International cricket, and was part of the victorious England squads in the 2009 Women’s T20 World Cup and the Women’s Cricket World Cups in 2009 and 2017.

Gunn was awarded an MBE in 2014 for services to cricket.

 

Yvonne Graves

Debut: 2017

Playing style: Right-handed all-rounder (medium-fast bowler)

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Making fifty against Somerset.

 

Sophie Munro

Debut: 2017

Playing style: Right-arm fast-medium bowler

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Taking a five-fer on my senior debut aged 15, and going on to take nine wickets over that bank holiday weekend.

 

Rachael Potter

Debut: 2019

Playing style: Right-handed all-rounder

Kirstie Gordon

Debut: 2016

Playing style: Left-arm spinner

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Winning the Division Two T20 Cup, and becoming the leading wicket taker in 2018.

Gordon's biggest success to date came in her third season with Notts in 2018, with the spinner taking 35 wickets at 10.06 and earning a deserved call-up to the England squad for the World T20.

The 21-year-old followed this up by being her country’s most dangerous bowler in the World Cup, taking eight wickets at 12.25 as England finished runners-up.

 

Rebecca Widdowson

Debut: 2007

Playing style: ‘Passionate’ right-handed medium-pacer

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Winning the T20 competition by running out Claire Taylor from a one-handed pick up.

 

Lucy Higham

Debut: 2017

Playing style: Middle order batter/ off spinner, dynamic in the field

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: All the hard-fought wins we have claimed with grit and determination.

 

Megan Hodkinson

Debut: tbc

Playing style: ‘Tactical’ bowler

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Still to come!

 

Megan Burton

Debut: 2017

Playing style: Batter – the ‘James Milner’ of cricket, bringing energy and dogged determination.

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Securing a tie against Warwickshire last season, winning the T20 title, and stealing a batting point from Yorkshire last year to remain in Division One.

 

Polly Inglis

Debut: 2019

Playing style: ‘Unorthodox' right-handed batter

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Beating Warwickshire in a nailbiting game by just 4 runs.

 

Teresa Graves

Debut: 2018

Playing style: All-rounder 

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Top-scoring with 45 runs off 28 balls to beat Yorkshire in a T20 game.

 

Hannah Hughes

Debut: 2011

Playing style: 'Unorthodox' batter playing 'four shot roulette' - blocking, sweeping, cutting and pulling.

Most memorable Nottinghamshire moment: Winning every game in T20 Division Two in 2017 to gain promotion back to the top flight after one season.
