Trent Rockets, the Nottingham-based outfit in next year's The Hundred tournament, have added big-hitting Australian Elyse Villani to their squad.
Villani, currently captain of Melbourne Stars in the Women's Big Bash League, is No.3 on the list of Australia's all-time run-scorers in IT20 cricket.
She will join the England duo of Nat Sciver and Katherine Brunt, as well as Australian international teammate Sophie Molineux, at Trent Bridge next summer.
“I’m really looking forward to playing for Trent Rockets," said Villiani.
"I had some great times playing at Loughborough Lightning in the Kia Super League and it will be nice to link up with Sal [Salliann Briggs, Head Coach] again.
“It’s always hugely exciting to play in tournaments like The Hundred - you can see it’s going to be a really good standard of cricket from the players already announced and it will be nice to play alongside Nat and Katherine, as well as Soph, of course.”
The remainder of Briggs' outfit will be confirmed before 31 May 2020, with the tournament commencing next summer.
