Annie Williams and Olivia Macey have been named in the Nottinghamshire squad for the opening Vitality Women’s T20 double-header against Lancashire and North Representative Team, with the squad looking to add to the silverware collected in the East Midlands T20 competition in 2021.
The fixtures - taking place at 11am and 3pm respectively - will be played in Crosby, with each team in the group hosting a weekend of fixtures over the course of the season.
The Green and Golds concluded preparations for the season with two wins over Leicestershire last weekend, the new-look squad featuring a blend of youth and experience with a host of Lightning players amongst them.
That includes Teresa Graves who will captain the side in the absence of Lucy Higham, as well Sophie Munro, recently named as a new signing for Trent Rockets in the second edition of The Hundred.
Evee-Mae Hicklin, Saide Hodgson, Olivia Baker and Eleanor Owen retain their places in the 12-person squad having made their debuts for the senior side against Notts’ East Midlands neighbours in the warm up games, while Williams and Macey will be looking to do the same in this outing.
Rhiannon Knowling Davies - fresh from a breakthrough season in 2021 - also returns to the squad.
