Nottinghamshire's Assistant Coach Kevin Shine and Head of Science & Medicine James Pipe are to be the speakers at the next meeting of the Nottingham Cricket Lovers' Society, on Thursday 3 February at 7.30pm in the Derek Randall Suite at Trent Bridge.
Shine, who joined the county in the winter of 2019, has played a leading role with the Nottinghamshire pace attack in recent years, with the last few seasons seeing the continued emergence of Lyndon James, Joey Evison & Zak Chappell, international call-ups for Jake Ball and a career-best summer for Luke Fletcher.
The former seamer previously served as the ECB's Lead Fast Bowling Coach, helping to secure four Ashes victories, a World T20 triumph in 2010, a rise to the top of the Test rankings in 2011 and the World Cup triumph of 2019 during his time with the national side.
Pipe, meanwhile, joined the Nottinghamshire staff in 2016 after performing similar duties with Derbyshire.
His playing career included seven seasons with Worcestershire, before the wicketkeeper became a key component of the playing staff at Derby between 2006 and 2009.
Shine and Pipe's appearance will be preceded by a talk on Notts' cricketing activities during the Second World War, delivered by Trent Bridge heritage officer Steve LeMottee.
Membership of the Cricket Lovers' Society costs £15 per year, and includes complimentary access to each of the society's monthly meetings across the winter.
Supporters are also welcome to pay £5 on the door to attend an individual meeting.
