Nottinghamshire took six wickets for 76 runs to stunt Durham’s progress and secure a win by 33 runs in the Second XI Championship at Lady Bay.

The visitors’ made good progress in pursuit of 404, honing in on 300 for the loss of four wickets having resumed the final day 88/0, but, when Calvin Harrison caught and bowled Oliver Sutton for 52, momentum shifted in Notts’ direction.

While captain Graham Clarke remained resolute, amassing 100 off 176 deliveries, wickets fell around him.

And it was Harrison who did the bulk of the damage, having claimed the wicket of Luke Doneathy for 58, the leg-spinner added Mitchell Killeen to his list of victims.

And when the all-rounder ended a cameo from Haydon Mustard, shortly before Sebastian Allison was trapped lbw by Tom Loten, Durham slipped from 365-7, and in need of a further 39 runs for victory, to 370 all out.

Harrison finished with figures of 4-90 from his 29 overs, while Loten - who dismissed Clarke for 111 to conclude proceedings - Toby Pettman and Fateh Singh all picked up two wickets apiece.
