Lyndon James says an adherence to the principles which have served Nottinghamshire well in red-ball cricket paved the way for a memorable day at Trent Bridge, as the hosts made the seventh-highest First-Class score in their history.
The homegrown all-rounder was one of four centurions - the first time such a feat had been realised in Notts colours since 1928 - as his side racked up 662/5 before removing both Durham openers in the evening session.
