Soprano Lizzie Jones will return to Trent Bridge ahead of the Royal London Cup Final on Saturday, performing before Kent Spitfires and Lancashire face off for the List A trophy.
Jones will sing Abide With Me, a song commonly heard ahead of the FA Cup and Rugby League Challenge Cup finals, and the national anthem, as the sport continues to show its respect following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
Jones is no stranger to Trent Bridge, having frequently sung ahead of Notts Outlaws’ T20 fixtures, as well as performing the national anthems for England and New Zealand before the Test Match this summer.
The match marks the second time the List A showpiece has taken place in Nottingham, with Kent and Lancashire looking to succeed Glamorgan, as the holders of the prestigious trophy.
