Nottinghamshire dismissed Derbyshire for 150 for the second time in the game to set themselves a victory target of 156 in the Second XI Championship fixture at Belper.
Resuming 71/4 in the second innings on day two, the Green and Golds were bowled out for 145, but responded by taking all 10 Derbyshire wickets within 50 overs.
Toby Pettman picked up four wickets - giving him eight for the game - whilst Zak Chappell took three, Calvin Harrison two, and Tom Loten one.
Nottinghamshire lost Lucas Stentiford in the second over as they mounted their attempt at the highest score of the game, but were otherwise unblemished and finished 16/1, requiring a further 140 with nine wickets in hand on day three.
