Nottinghamshire made hay on the first day of their final Second XI Championship fixture against Derbyshrie at Belper, dismissing the hosts for 150 before adding 71/4 in reply.
Toby Pettman claimed the opening two wickets, before trialist Tom Loten tore through the Derbyshire middle order, reducing the hosts to 63-5.
Zak Chappell claimed two more in quick succession, before some later order resistance saw Ben Hutchinson and Justin Watson elevate the hosts’ total alongside Alex Hughes.
Loten returned, however, to dismiss Hughes - who top scored with 40 and was the only batter to be bowled, not caught - before Pettman claimed the final two wickets.
Opening the batting in response, Loten and Lucas Stentiford shared a stand of 45 for the first wicket for Notts, before the latter fended Watson off to gully, and Hughes bowled Loten and Calvin Harrison.
In the final knockings, Sammy King pulled Max Luckett down the leg side to wicketkeeper Harry Caton, bringing the day to a close with 14 wickets having fallen.
