Steven Mullaney said he was proud and privileged to lead ‘the best team in the league’ after Nottinghamshire secured the Division Two title with victory over Durham at Trent Bridge.
The Club Captain praised the spirit of his charges in bouncing back from the adversity of a long winless run in red-ball cricket that ended last April, and saw them take their place in the second tier despite finishing third in a conference style competition in 2021.
