Farhan Ahmed starred as England got their Under 19s World Cup campaign off to a winning start with a win over Scotland in their opening group game in South Africa on Saturday.
Having opted to bowl first, the Nottinghamshire spinner proved pick of the bowlers, returning 3-22, while Luc Benkenstein also collected three wickets.
Their contributions on a turning pitch restricted Scotland to 174, a target chased down with minimal fuss as Ben McKinney and Jaydn Denly added 106 for the opening wicket.
With such a strong platform to build off, Noah Thain contributed 22 runs to take England past 150, before being dismissed.
McKinney's own eye-catching innings ended on 88 from just 68 balls, with the finishing blows left to Benkenstein and Hamza Sheikh as England triumphed in the 27th over of their chase.
