£1045 has been raised for the Trent Bridge Community Trust from the auction of Notts Outlaws’ signed limited edition Vitality Blast shirts.
The red jerseys commemorate the 10-year anniversary of Trent Bridge’s partnership with John Pye Auctions, and were worn by the Outlaws for the visit of Birmingham Bears in July.
The Nottingham-based auction house have served as the club's sponsor since 2014, with the John Pye name proudly adorning Nottinghamshire's men's and women's team's shirts. Last year, the East Midlands’ women’s regional team, The Blaze, was also added to the portfolio.
The family-owned national auction house recently signed a partnership extension that will see them continue to support Nottinghamshire and Trent Bridge through to 2028.
The Trent Bridge Community Trust itself runs several community projects aimed at improving the lives of those within the county’s borders.
The money raised will be put towards extending and elevating the running of the programmes.
That includes Forget Me Notts, Trent Bridge’s flagship dementia project which provides a safe environment and stimulating activities for individuals living with dementia and facilitates a peer support network, short periods of respite and access to expert advice for carers.
"We’re truly grateful for the generosity of those who placed bids on these exclusive shirts - the funds raised will help support those most in need in our community," Head of Community & Development, Mandy Wright, said
"Those who use our services speak about the importance of the projects and the meaningful impact they have on people’s lives.
"These contributions will go a long way to help safeguard the future of our projects."
