Tom Loten completed his first-innings century, with Ben Martindale hitting 70 in the second innings, as Nottinghamshire’s Second XI Championship clash with Warwickshire ended in a draw.
After day three at Lady Bay was washed out, Loten took fewer than ten overs to hit the 14 runs required to reach his milestone.
The right-hander remained unbeaten on 114 as Notts’ first innings was declared closed on 224/6.
Warwickshire lost both openers cheaply in reply, Thomas Giles castling Amir Khan (1) before removing visiting skipper Hamza Shaikh (11).
But first-innings centurion Chris Benjamin (74*) and Isaac Mohammed (39*) compiled a third-wicket partnership of 114 as both sides sought a positive outcome to the game.
Warwickshire declared on 136/2, and the Notts chase began positively, with Martindale and Freddie McCann each passing 50.
McCann was removed on 53, with Martindale continuing to anchor proceedings as Loten and Matthew Montgomery departed.
As the day entered its closing stages, Notts found themselves 168/8, but Toby Pettman’s (30*) 73-ball vigil, and James Hayes’ 7 from 33 balls, ensured the hosts secured a draw.
