Three wickets apiece for Matthew Montgomery, Liam Patterson-White and Thomas Giles helped Notts secure victory over Rainbow Warriors by three runs in a one-day contest at Lady Bay.
Giles removed skipper Narayan Jagadeesan and number three R Vimal Khumar early in the Warriors’ chase of 126, before returning to take the final wicket – that of CV Achyuth – as the visitors were bowled out for 122 inside 36 overs.
Montgomery accounted for B Sachin (15), R Pradosh (10) and P Vidyuth (4), with Patterson-White bowling A Banrinath and BP Kumar (both 15) and pinning L Jain without scoring.
Earlier, Montgomery and Fateh Singh each made 21 as several of a youthful Second XI chipped in with cameos to elevate Notts to 125 before they were dismissed.
