Born in Truro in 16 October 1993, Thomas Christopher Rowe attended Cambourne Science and Community College; he is a left-handed batsman and right-arm medium pacer. He played for Troon CC and represented Cornwall at Under-14, Under-15 and Under-17 and Under-21 levels. He joined the Notts Academy in 2011 and became a regular in the Academy Team and the Notts Second XI (19 Championship, 14 Trophy and 17 T20 games), in addition to making his debut for Cornwall in the Minor Counties Championship. He had a particularly good season for the Academy in 2011, scoring 872 runs @62.28 in the Notts Premier League and was named the Most Improved Academy Player at the Notts End of Season Gala Dinner. As a result, in 2012 he represented England Under-19s in the Second Eleven T20 competition. However, Rowe did not fulfil his undoubted potential.
In 2013 he was selected for the Notts first team versus the touring Bangladesh “A” team on 14 August; in a fixture which was granted List-A status. Coming in at number four he made 10. This was his only game for the Notts first team and he left the Academy at the end of the season.
Since his release from the Notts Academy, he has played six seasons of cricket in the Notts Premier League with Kimberley Institute CC. In 116 games he has scored 3,500 runs @32.71 and taken 31 wickets @20.09. He has also played for Cornwall up to the end of 2019 season in the Minor Counties, having had one year with Bedfordshire in 2014. In 16 Minor County Championship appearances he has scored 1,042 runs @38.59 with a highest score of 188 for Cornwall v Herefordshire at Penzance in 2017.
His twin brother James Kenneth Rowe (2011) and elder brother Matthew Henry Rowe (2008-2019) have also represented Cornwall. Their father Christopher Henry Rowe also played Minor Counties for Cornwall in 1981 and 1982.
