Over £500 Raised by Young Entrepreneurs at Christmas Market in West Bridgford
Trust News
The Trent Bridge Community Trust's YouNG Project has raised over £500 by selling a range of festive gifts at a Christmas market in West Bridgford.
Homemade Christmas cards and 3D decorations were amongst the items being sold by the young enterpreneurs across eight stalls on Gordon Road, while peformers entertained the crowd with a set of classic Christmas hits.
“We had a very cold, but very successful day,” said Max Emerson of the YouNG Project.
“As ever, Santa’s grotto was particularly popular, while performances from Rattle and Roll and a flash mob organized by Rebecca Hart from Dance Equation also received a rapturous reception."
The YouNG project enhances the employability skills of young people between the ages of 13 and 21, with the Christmas markets offering a great chance for young entrepreneurs and performers from secondary schools around the Rushcliffe area and beyond to showcase their abilities.
