FESTIVE FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR FORGET ME NOTTS
Trust News
Live music, festive fayre and camaraderie took centre-stage as the Trent Bridge Community Trust delivered their annual Forget Me Notts Christmas Lunch event.
The 2022 lunch was the fifth year in which the event had taken place, and was attended by 70 carers and individuals living with dementia.
The initiative offers help and support for those living with and affected by dementia, allowing them to receive expert advice and share their experiences together.
“It is great to see so many happy faces enjoying the day with us here at Trent Bridge,” said Mark Clifford, the Trent Bridge Community Trust's Community Projects manager.
“Each year we continue to develop our offer to reach even more people that are living with dementia and their carers, with more Forget Me Notts sessions delivered this year than ever before and the continued development of an invaluable peer support network amongst carers.
“It gives me huge personal pride to see the growth and I’m really looking forward to what 2023 can bring.”
Forget Me Notts, which was established in June 2017, delivers sports-led sessions centred on the likes of cricket and golf, and discussion-based events focused on topics such as the work, family and hobbies of attendees.
