C and G Trophy Round One
May 4
Wales Minor Counties 119 (Ealham 4-28, Harris 3-31)
Notts 121 for 4 (Warren 48*, Hussey 26)
Notts won by six wickets
After failing to secure any victories so far this year ? including the pre-season programme ? Warren says the squad was delighted to break their duck.
?We?ve actually not been playing too badly and should have won at Lancashire last weekend and knocked off the runs against Glamorgan on Monday,? he said.
?This was a game we were expected to win but we went out and did a thoroughly professional job and it was good to get off the mark.
?The bowlers did their job and knocked them over cheaply and we managed to knock off the total to give us a day-off to prepare for the Championship match against Surrey.
?Let?s hope this win can kick start some momentum in our one-day season because we?ve seen before how quickly things can turn around once you start winning.?
The victory sets up a second round clash with Sussex.
?They are a good side and it will be an attractive fixture,? added Warren.
?We?ll be confident we can get past them after a good victory against them in the four-day game. It doesn?t take many wins in this competition before you are looking at a Lord?s final and that would be fantastic.?
