Wicket!, the Playing for Success centre at Trent Bridge has helped students to pass on the Olympic message at Trent Bridge by releasing balloons to signal the launch of a national poetry competition and idea-sharing network.
With less than 1,000 days to go until the start of London 2012, Playing for Success centres around the country are imparting the values associated with the Olympic and Paralympic games through the scheme.
The key values are courage, friendship, inspiration, determination, equality, excellence, Olympic and Paralympic Heroes and respect.
Other centres, including those at Manchester City, Leicester Tigers and Wembley Stadium held simultaneous events to help young people embrace the Olympic values.
